Goodnight England

My favorite children’s book and the book that both girls love to read is Goodnight Moon. So here is our version of the book, as tomorrow, we fly back to the United States.

Goodbye England. Goodbye house in England. Goodbye mouse in the house in England. Goodbye postage stamp size garden. Goodbye small refrigerator. Goodbye tiny-size bottles and bathtubs. Goodbye small bed. Goodbye wardrobes. Goodbye driving on the wrong side of the road. Goodbye strange food. Goodbye people who don’t understand what I am saying. Goodbye people who I can’t understand. Goodbye rain and cloudy days. Goodbye autumn temperatures in the middle of summer.

Goodbye beautiful England. Goodbye fun trips around a new and exciting land. Goodbye good friends we have made. Goodbye school that Bean loved. Goodbye cute accent the girls picked up. Goodbye brand new experiences and fun new adventures. Goodbye beautiful gardens and flowers. Goodbye wellies that Gerbie wore so much. Goodbye ‘big and old’ historical castles, towers and palaces. Goodbye London and Edinburgh. Goodbye European vacations. Goodbye weekends with nothing-better-to-do than explore the beautiful countryside. Goodbye Ohio Mommy Lost in England.

This is the last post of Ohio Mommy Lost in England. If you would like to follow our family adventures as we return to the US, please contact me for the new blog address.
